Mosaic Connects Simcoe County

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM FOR NEWCOMERS

Helping newcomers feel at home through connection, guidance, and community.

Are You New to Simcoe County?

Get matched with a mentor to support your settlement journey, build local connections, and feel a greater sense of belonging.

You Will Receive:

  • One-on-one match for six months
  • Weekly check-ins with your mentor
  • Access to cultural groups, services, and events
  • Career guidance and community navigation
  • Personal growth and integration support

Eligibility

  • Newcomers to Canada within the last 3–5 years (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Convention Refugee, Protected Person, or Live-in Caregiver)
  • Reside in Simcoe County, ideally in New Tecumseth, Bradford West Gwillimbury, Innisfil, or surrounding areas
  • Willing to commit to six months of program participation

Want to Give Back? Become a Mentor

Support a newcomer’s journey by sharing your time, knowledge, and lived experience.


  • Offer local insight, career advice, and community guidance
  • Help newcomers navigate services and cultural norms
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and group activities
  • Strengthen your leadership and communication skills
  • Contribute to a more inclusive, connected community

Eligibility

  • Reside in Simcoe County
  • Demonstrate cultural awareness and a commitment to supporting newcomers
  • Commit to six months of program participation
  • Provide a recent Vulnerable Sector Check
